The owner/end-user of the product covered by the present warranty is entirely responsible for its proper installation and any applicable plumbing. LAVIVA Inc. neither installs nor supervises the installation nor hires a contractor for this purpose; consequently, LAVIVA Inc. cannot be held responsible for any default, breakage, or damages caused thereby or resulting thereof, either directly or indirectly. The owner/end-user must provide access to the components of the Product as described in the installation guide so that LAVIVA Inc can execute the warranty specified herein. If such access is not available, all expenses to provide said access will be the responsibility of the owner/end-user. This warranty does not apply to local building code compliance. The owner/end-user should check with the local related plumbing codes before installation.

Clean with a soft cloth moistened in lukewarm soap and water then buff with a dry, clean cloth.

*NEVER use glass cleaners on finished furniture, ammonia will chemically attack the lacquer.

*NEVER allow liquids of any kind to remain in decorative route lines; absorption causes wood to warp and finishes to de-laminate.

*Prevent fading by not placing the item in direct sunlight.

*Prevent yellowing by not using commercial waxes and polishes.

*Prevent damage to the finish by not placing hot materials on or near the surface.

*Prevent splitting by maintaining even humidity conditions in your home.

Natural Stone

The best care for natural stone is to keep it clean and buffed. Especially around faucets, wiping off the water will prevent a mineral buildup. Place protective pads underneath any heavy or metallic objects to prevent scratching of the marble/granite surface. Periodically rotate accessories on marble/granite so that they don't sit in the same spot for an extended period of time.

*For cleaning marble, always use a pH neutral cleaner. Any acid cleaner will damage the stone.

*Acid does not harm granite, but oil will soak in, leaving a darker area. Wipe up oils, spills, and splatters immediately, using a mild household cleaner. Rinse and buff dry.

*We recommend using a good quality marble/granite resin-based penetrating sealer to reseal the stone. All natural stone is porous and needs to be sealed periodically to prevent staining liquids from penetrating. Sprinkle a few drops of water on the surface, if they bead up then the sealer is adequate. If they quickly soak in, it is time to reseal the stone.

*Clean regularly, wiping down the countertop with a damp cloth or paper towel and, if necessary, a small amount of non-bleach, non-abrasive cleanser. Avoid waxes, bleaches, oils, nail polish remover and high pH cleaners. In the event of a spill wipe up a soon as possible.

*To avoid heat damage, do not place hot materials directly on the countertop.

LAVIVA Inc. products are made of naturally variable raw materials. Differences in grain character and color among wood and plant species and stones and minerals are naturally occurring variations and are not within the control of the manufacturer nor considered defects under this warranty. Natural color changes, variations, or movements in lumber or veneer products, and exposure to extreme temperature changes and direct sunlight, may cause color changes and/or surface damage and are not covered by this warranty. All wood naturally ages, darkens, changes in color, and mellows over time due primarily to exposure to light. While this color change is imperceptible from day to day, it may be significant over a longer period of time, or due to amount of light the wood is exposed to. On warranty replacement doors or drawers, we will not guarantee an exact color match. Imperfections such as checks (small surface splits), pitch pockets (small dark holes) or darker mineral streaks are natural and are not considered defects.

Surface characteristics of natural stones may vary from each slab. Color variations in stone are a natural occurrence. Natural veining, crystal lining and local crystallization are common characteristics of natural stones. For this reason, new and/or replacement pieces may not match display samples and/or existing pieces. Natural occurring stone characteristics such as variation in grain, color, mineral streaks are not considered defective product. In addition, all LAVIVA Inc. vanities are handcrafted. Each product may vary slightly in size and color within an acceptable industry tolerance. Natural stones, ceramic, porcelain, quartz and related products represent products of nature; we cannot be held responsible in any cause of action resulting from their use in any form. LAVIVA Inc. makes no expressed or implied warranty, for any particular use. These products inherently lack uniformity and are subject to variation in aesthetics, color, shade, finish, tint, hardness, strength resistance, density, etc. Natural stone may be characterized by dry seams, pits, and fossils. In polished and honed stones, these pits are often filled during the manufacturing process or at the time of installation. These fills can occasionally deteriorate from normal wear and use. In these instances, it may be necessary to refill these voids as part of a normal maintenance procedure.
